Ebong TheatriX is proud to present FestivET 2022, an evening of three theatrical presentations - two plays and a program of songs from contemporary theater.  Tickets are $50 and $20 with student tickets at $15.

Program Details:

1. Shunyo Shudhu Shunyo Noy - Based on the famous story by Shorodindu Bandyopadhyay, noted playwright Ujjwal Chattopadhyay has developed this version of the stage adaptation specifically  for Ebong TheatriX.  Designed and directed by Suman Mukhopadhyay, the play features set design by Hiran Mitra, music by Mayookh Bhowmick, and lighting design by Sudip Sanyal.  The cast includes Jaideep Banerjee, Mahasweta Bhattacharya, Torsha Bhattacharya, Aditya Chakraborty, Mita Paul, and Nandini Sen.

2. Bishanno Barud - Based on a Punjabi play by Pali Bhupinder Singh and its Hindi adaptation by Dalvinder Multani, the bengali adaptation is written by Ratankumar Das and directed by Dibyendu Paul. We showcased this production in late 2019 in India at various prestigious theater festivals including the Nandikar Theater Festival. The cast includes Shampa Basu, Subha Bhattacharya, Arindam Ghosh, Dibyendu Paul, and Subarna Chatterjee Thakur. 

3. Moncho Gaan (Songs from Contemporary Bengali Theater) - Conceived, directed and performed by Suman Mukhopadhyay, this program will feature songs from contemporary Bengali theater.  Suman Mukhopadhyay will be joined by a team of live musicians and our members. The team includes Banhi Bhattacharya, Souparna Chakraborty, Rashmi Dasgupta, Abhishek Papan Dutt,  Debu Nayak, and Rituparna Tah.
